Peningkatan Kreativitas dan Self Efficacy Mahasisiswa pada Mata Kuliah Writing IV Melalui Pembelajaran Generatif Berbasis Masalah Terbuka

Abstract


This study aims to improve the creativity and self-confidence of fourth-semester students of English education study programs at STKIP Taman Siswa Bima through the application of open problem-based generative learning. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with initial test designs for both treatment groups-final tests. Students selected as the population as well as the research sample are fourth-semester students who only have one class (will be divided into two groups). Before implementing open problem-based generative learning, first, a pre-test is given to find out the creativity and confidence of students in making / composing papers. Then learning is carried out by applying open problem-based generative learning to writing courses that are conducted during six meetings and the seventh meeting is given posttests. Data analysis to test the hypothesis used the t-test at a significant level of 5% and DK = n1 + N2-2 (30-2) with the condition that Ha is accepted if the t-value is greater than t-table. The results showed that the value of t table with N1 + N2 -2 = 28 was 1.7011. The results of data analysis showed that the calculated t value was 3,937 with DK (28). By comparing the value of t arithmetic with t table (1.7), it can be seen that the hypothesis received is Ha and Ho, which means that there is an increase in student creativity through generative learning based on open problems. Analysis of the data to test student confidence shows that the value of t table with N1 + N2 -2 = 28 is 1.7011. When compared with t count 5.866. It can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The use of generative learning based on open problems has an effect on student confidence
