Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Biologi Model 5E untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMA

Abstract


The group of science and technology subjects in senior high school is intended to acquire science and technology competencies and to cultivate scientific thinking critically, creatively and independently. For this reason, improving learning packages is needed to facilitated science teachers in senior high school to cultivate the thinking skills of students to increase the quality of learning especially for biology subjects. One of the innovations that can be done to improve the quality of learning biology is developing a biological learning packages by 5E models (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate) for XI grade of senior high school on the subject of the excretion system. This study aimed to produce a 5E model of learning packages especially in XI grade of high school and it is hoped that learning activities that will be carried out with the 5E model can increase students' thinking skills. Thie type of this study is a research and development that refers to the Borg and Gall (2003) model. The learning packages product developed refers to the 5E model which consists of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), a Student Learning Guide Sheet (LPBP), and a Student Works Lembar Panduan Belajar Peserta Didik (LPBP), heet (LKPD). Data were collected by using a validation sheet for the feasibility of learning tools. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the biological learning packages by 5E models there are RPP, LPBP, and LKPD were included in the criteria which were very feasible to be applied to XI grade of senior high school students to increase students thinking skills.
