Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII MTs Miftahul Ishlah Kota Mataram

Abstract


This research is motivated by the cognitive learning outcomes of 8th-grade students who are still low. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models on cognitive learning outcomes of 8th-grade MTs Miftahul Ishlah school year 2018/2019 on natural science subjects. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. Population in this study were all 8th-grade MTs Miftahul Ishlah students in the school 2018/2019 totalling 59 students of the research sample totalling 39 students who were determined by the cluster random sampling technique. The research was conducted from April to May 2019. The instrument used was a subjective test consisting of 5 questions. Data in the research were analyzed using covariance analysis with the help of SPSS Windows release 23. Previously, the prerequisite test was conducted, namely the normality and homogeneity test. The result showed that the guided inquiry learning model had a significant effect on the learning outcomes of 8th-grade MTs Miftahul Ishlah students in the 2018/2019 academic year. The average learning outcomes of the experimental class are higher than the control class with a percentage change of 16,84%.
