Analisis Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Di Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract


This study aimed to uncover the implementation of character education in lecturing at Samawa University. The descriptive quantitative method was used in this study since the percentage formula applied in processing data. Samples of the study were 15 lecturers of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Samawa University, Sumbawa Besar. In this study, data collection techniques were questionnaires and interviews. The analysis technique was a descriptive percentage. The results of data analysis regarded to lecturers' knowledge related to the implementation of character education were categorized in the good category with the averages of 78.41%. Meanwhile, the results of data analysis regarded to the improvement of lecturers' competencies were categorized in the adequate category with the averages of 70.68%. Furthermore, the contents of the curriculum used at Samawa University, especially in FKIP, were categorized in the good category with the averages of 78, 05%. Generally, the institutional policies and support in case of the implementation of character education have run in accordance with the institution's vision and mission, but the institution did not have documents related to obstacles in the implementation of character education. So,  the level of development of character education at the institution level cannot be measured. In short, the results of this study indicated that the implementation of character education in lecturing was good.
