Bentuk Bahasa Anak Bilingual dan Multilingual: Sebuah Kajian Psikolinguistik

Abstract


Psycholinguistic is a branch of macro linguistics that studies the problems of language and the human psyche, including discussing language acquisition, speech production, SLA (second language acquisition), monolingual, bilingual, dan multilingual. SLA (second language acquisition) is second language acquisition together with first language acquisition. Bilingual and multilingual is individuals who are fluent in using two or more languages. This study aims to describe : 1) bilingual and multilingual vocabulary form in communicating with Indonesian as a first languages and foreign languages as a second language or vice versa, 2) the influence of first and second languages in the process of producing bilingual and multilingual children, 3) family and environmental roles in the development of bilingual and multilingual children’s language production. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The researcher will focus on the form of vocabulary, and the influence of first language and second language in the process of producing bilingual and multilingual children. The research subjects were bilingual and multilingual children aged 7-8 years in the BTN Green Valey neighborhood of Senggigi village Batu Layar sub-district West Lombok districts. Senggigi village was chosen as a research site because Senggigi village is one of the famous tourist destinations in foreign countries. Data is obtained through referral methods, with recording techniques.  Data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, and completed with data verification.
