Pembelajaran Biologi Berbasis Entrepreneurship

Abstract


The quality of graduates is the toughest challenge in Indonesia's education. At present educational graduates in Indonesia still, contribute a relatively high unemployment rate. This is due to the low life skills possessed by each graduate of educational institutions including Biology graduates in tertiary institutions. The current university curriculum has an entrepreneurship course, but it is still very limited with only 2 credit credits. Learning biology is contextual and emphasizes providing direct experience. Therefore, each tertiary institution must facilitate students to develop life skills in a systematic and integrated manner in biology courses in order to have an entrepreneurial understanding and skills as a provision for starting or continuing their lives properly. Learning Biology by integrating the values of entrepreneurship (bio entrepreneurship) is learning that relates material directly to real objects and natural resources in the surrounding environment, thus enabling students to improve the character and attachment of entrepreneurs and produce products that are useful and of economic value. Bioentrepreneurship learning is contained in each learning phase, namely the learning tools, implementation, and assessment system. Development of bio entrepreneurship learning should pay attention to the local potential of each region and develop active, creative, effective, and enjoyable learning steps.
